Issues in adding a unix machine as a load generator to the controller (another unix machine)

Hello

We are receiving issues while adding a load generator to the controller . Both the controller and the load generator machines are Linux machines with following version :-

[root@uamplgosussd01 ~]# uname -a
Linux uamplgosussd01 2.6.32-220.13.1.el6.x86_64 #1 SMP Thu Mar 29 11:46:40 EDT 2012 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux
[osadmin@uamplgosussd02 ~]$ cat /etc/redhat-release
Red Hat Enterprise Linux Server release 6.2 (Santiago)

When we try to add the LG to the controller, nothing happens. It shows no error and even the IP that is added doesnt get displayed in the load generator list. We are able to ping the LG machine from controller but still addition of LG is giving an issue.

Please help us in resolving the issue

Do you have a firewall between the two machines?

At least the port 7100 must be open. Get more details here:

Hello

There was no firewall between the two machines.

The problem seems to have been resolved . By default the controller machine had the IP of Load generator machine added on some other ethernet (eth3) due to which when were trying to add the IP of the same machine on the connecting ethernet i.e.eth0 , nothing was happening. We deleted the default IP of LG (belonging to eth3) and then added the machine. It works fine now.

Thanks
