Rather than use my login name the client asks if Neoload itself has a service account created on installation that they could grant monitoring rights to ?

NeoLoad does not create or use any service account. By default the monitoring agent will use the System account if started through the Windows services.
If you use the local monitoring agent it's the Windows user logged in that will be used.
You can use that POST to specify the user you would like to use.
