We are working in scripting of a Mobile App using Neoload 4.1. Both the system having Neoload and the Device ( iPAD with iOS 5) is connected to same WiFI. We are using the Proxy mode with the Device configured to connect through HTTP Proxy > Manual > My system WiFI IP and Port 8090 as per Neoload guides. Issue is - during recording - the moment we trigger actions where the APP connect to Server( Login) - the Connection from APp to Server fails with message "Connection Lost". However with the same server/port HTTP Proxy - we are able to record other general apps like Travelocity etc with connections to servers also works fine. Kindly let me know for any suggestions
NeoLoad provides two different ways to record a mobile application. There's the default proxy mode and the tunnel mode.
With some native applications, the proxy mode may not work.
First, you should check if your application is using HTTPS protocol. In that case, have you loaded the NeoLoad certificate in your mobile device?
The procedure is described in the mobile documentation here: Mobile Doc
If it still does not work, you could try the tunnel mode for your recording also described in the same document.
Thanks for your response Nouredine, we tried both options suggested. The observation from above 2 trials as following a) Installing the Neoload certificate did NOT helped resolving issue, also confirmed that there is No SSL used in the application. b) For trying out Tunnel mode, we tried following the steps as mentioned in Guide and setup is as following.We have a WIFI Network at Office and both my system having Neoload for scripting and Device connected to the same WIFI.Now both system and device have DNS set as the Office Wifi router IP.With this setting the internet connection in Device works fine.But as per Neoload documentation , in Device i had to set DNS as my System IP.The moment i do this the Device further is NOT connecting to internet and the APPS cannot connect to server.Kindly let us know the steps to have this recording work( especially the Settings related to DNS/Proxy etc to be done in my system and the Device). We are using a Windows XP system and Neoload 4.1 Thanks

I am also facing the same issue. But here when I change the proxy of my IPAD to my system which contains Neoload, it seems there is issue with internet. I am getting error timed out in my IPAD chrome browser when I tried to open the google.com.Did the above issued solved for you? If yes, could you please post solution. Your help is appreciated.
When you switch your proxy settings on the IPAD with the NeoLoad IP machine, make sure that you do not have any firewall on the NeoLoad machine that could block the communication between your IPAD and your NeoLoad machine.
