WAN-Emulator not running in a Linux VM on an ESX 6.5 Host

We try to run a Loadgenerator in a Linux VM on an ESX 6.5-Host - that works until we configure the WAN Emulator as descriped in the Neoload Documentation.
On ESX 6.0 the Loadgenerator with WAN Emulator works fine. Migrating the VM to an ESX 6.5 - the VM doesn't come up. It stops at enabling the IPFW Module. Is the NeoLoad version 6.8 not compatible with ESX6.5?

Could you check the Linux kernel used in your VM with ESX6.5 vs ESX6.0?

It's the only thing that i can see as a possible issue between the two versions.

Thanks for your quick reply. The VM-Redhat Kernel is 3.10.0-957.5.1.el7.x86_64 - we checked it before configurering the WAN Emulator. The Kernel-Version of the underlying ESX-Server 6.0 is SMP Release build-5572656. The Kernel-Version of ESX-Server 6.5 is SMP Release build-8294253

Have you rebuild the ipfw module after migrating your VM?

Also you said it stopped enabling the module what kind of error did you get?

Yes, we also builded a new VM with Redhat and Kernel 3.10 and also the same problem. If I try the "./ipfw list" command, the ssh connection brokes after a timeout. After logging in again to the VM the ipfw-module isn't loaded any more: "lsmod | grep ipfw".

i attached a video showing the moment on the vm-console when executing ./ipfw list or when starting neoloadloadgenerator
